Amtrak Derailment-Another One

what idiot puts a demolition crane on a railroad track? I mean seriously, is there no common sense anymore? :n:

sorry, i had to vent that, but seriously, i hope no one was seriously injured. You would think the demolition crew would have contacted the railroad (I'm assuming it's either UP or BNSF...probably the latter) that they were going to work on the track and would have been warned that the train was coming, but on the flip side, i've heard of a condo promoter ripping up fifty feet of railroad siding and telling the perspective buyers the train was "going away." (this was on the Oregon Pacific railroad in Porland, Oregon, the old Portland Traction and owned by Dick Samuels and his family). It just doesn't make sense.

That must really hurt, really, alot, when a loco tips, and your thrown about the cab controls, and end up in the conductors window, face down in broken glass.

Al because of hitting a crane dismantling a farm silo.

If you wake up ... and there are flourescent lights on the wall ... you have have too much to drink !

STOP PARKING CRAP ON THE TRACKS AND RUNNING THE GATES!!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

You're right. You'd think by now people would start to think, "Oh, a train. It can do damage. I think I'll stop/not obstruct it." L. O. L. Yeah, a person may think that, but people doen't. People think, "Oh, a train. It's going 'slow' and my car is fast, I can outrun it." Then BOOM, you're hit you tard! Honestly, people should start thinking like a person.
