I hope everyone was okay in the NS loco. And I figured that the DRG pic was either from a movie, or the photographer just got really lucky. What film is it from anyway?

Thanks for the links Anthony. You've got nothing to be embarrassed about with that lot; you've an excellent collection of photos and I spent a very pleasant forty five minutes browsing through it. I particularly enjoyed the shots at the model engineers' layout. You got some clever coots there mate.

Cheers

It also has a copyright, did you obtain permission before direct linking it in here ??
A clickable link is different as far as copyright goes because you are sending the viewer to the image posted by the copyright holder.

it isn't photoshop,

It really is spewing out flames

No, it's not. It's called photoshop. Copy it, paste it in photoshop, zoom in on the edges and you can see where he's used clone brush to paste the basic flame in there.

Common sense tells you that for that to happen the loco would have to be almost dead still because of the angle of the smoke, which obviously isn't the case judging from the dust that the 3rd loco is picking up on the trailing bogie.

Unless the wind is blowing from directly behind the loco and the exact same speed that the loco is going.:p
