After cleaning up content, TS12 SP 1 works pretty well.

Trainzing since 12-2003
After cleaning up a lot of remaining faulty items, and after finally fixing the continuous download issue with the Murchison, I gave TS12 SP1 a full whirl last night. Outside of the pop-up issues and sound problems, which N3V is aware of, I had a pretty good time. The performance was quite decent on my desktop rig and I enjoyed my driving session. I used the Gloucester Terminal Route which I've been working on. There are lots of trees and buildings, being a city and woodlands, and this really pushed the simulator.

I found that the AI seem to be performing better. Perhaps, they knew I was finally using the program and wanted to put on a good show just like we used to do when the big boss would visit at work. :) The signaling seems better and the overall performance was a bit spiffier even in the built-up areas.

Now, if we can get the remaining bugs worked out, we'll have a really nice program that runs quite decently.

I think the biggest part of the performance issues I saw before, along with many people, is due to broken content. By repairing this stuff, I saw no more references to the faulty assets in the TADDaemon window. Without the constant checking of content and parsing, the performance is much better. So the bottom line here is fix the stuff before trying to run anything. It really makes a difference!

Hi John. Therein lies the problem for a lot of folk. Either through time constraints, inability to 'fix' content, or just plain fed up that the goal posts keep getting moved every time a game is released or patch is produced. We only hear the complaints from those who visit the forums, what about the rest of those who don't visit but want to enjoy the product.

It states over 1 million copies sold on both 2010 and 2012 game cases. I guess there's a couple of dozen guys here that post, the rest hmmmm. :(

CPR Mountain Sub 1.0.5 for 57825 working flawless now

I agree John,

I launched yesterday the 1.0.5 version working on ALL TS 12 releases and 57825 has the best results in driver right now!
It takes although more than just dl and install to get that far, hundreds of updates and corrections left and right for all 3rd party kuids but finally it works.

have a great weekend

Already been stated by N3V that the million copies is total copies of Trainz, that's all versions not just 2010 or TS12, probably a lot less actually using TS12 than that.
Plus those who don't visit the forum are probably blissfully unaware that there even is a patch yet, that won't happen until it goes to autopatch by which time it might have been sorted out.

I have to agree with the OP, after buying an SSD and reinstalling, patching TS12, fixing assets it seems to work good. Yes there are still AI issues etc... but all in all good.

Isn't there an automated "fix" in the works right now. School is starting up and I don't have the extra time to manually fix all theses assets.

There is a new version of the TARDIS scripts (details in ianwoodmore's blog) currently being tested, but has not officially been released yet (I should know, as I'm going to be one of the main sources for that download, if not the main source).

I have TS12 Build 57825 working well. All of the faulty content has been cleaned up, and everything is working OK.
