Hey Team,

I am creating a route for India - South, and need to create custom sound files (like fruit vendor shouting in regional language). I am planning to record them and add them to the route. Kindly guide me with your knowledge about the same. Kindly watch out for more posts. I cant do this without you guys. So please help...

There are some trackside soundbox's and stuff...can't recall the name KD, KB...I dunno. You might be able to edit the wav files with your own sounds. The Defect Detector might also be able to have its wav file edited. There are alot of stations and buildings that also have sound wav files.

Slugsmasher and Sirgibby, among others, use the following technique to place sounds throughout their routes. Example is SS Steam Sounds 2,<kuid:86661:25001> which is a scenery kuid with a small mesh located a meter below the base so it can't be seen and has a sound file attached to it. The use of soundscipt containers is fully described in the TRS2006CCG, pages 110 and 396. The sound file should be a .wav mono recording sampled at (I think) 22KB/sec.
