hi!
i'm new here so i have some questions to ask...
a few fays ago i tried "trainz 2010 engineers edition" at a friends place and was able to build some decent scerery in a few hours(time flies when you have fun!).
but when i compare the things i was able to create to what i see in the screenshots there is hardly any resemblance.
the screenshots show real grass and lifelike trees while i did only have acces to tiles in different patterns to cover the ground and trees that looked "late 20th. century",no waving grass or living trees(the only sign of life they gave whas popping out of the ground when comming close to them!).

i intend to buy trainz 2010 engineers edition but first would like to know if all those beautifull scenery will be part of it or at least how(and at what price) i can get them.

thanks!

The plants that move with the wind are called speedtrees, and comes with the game. Apart from that, you can downdoad practically unlimited amounts of scenery items, of poor, good and brilliant quality, from the Download Station / Content Manager that comes with the programme. When you buy the game, you get free access to this. However, you might concider getting a first class ticket, which brings your download speed from a few kb/s to hundreds of kb/s, and gets rid of the max limit of 100mbs a day. This costs $25 for a full year. There are also lots of external websites that offer quality items.

I hope that meets your expectations :).

Ah!
if so,and with the database you mention,i think i'm gonna give it a go
thanks.
