A question of direction

I've been ignoring this for a while now but I have decided to ask...

How do you get the reverse head lamp to illuminate?

EG: I'm driving an SW7, NO cars. I drive forward, with the forward lamp on. Then I stop, and switch to reverse - but the forward lamp stays on.

Is the headlamp supposed to be extinguished when you are coupled to a car?

EG: I'm pushing a cut of cars, the forward lamp is off. Is that normal??

I have setup my version of the Krocodil with both an a.driver0 and an a.driver1 - No matter what I do, I can't get the driver to appear anywhere EXCEPT a.driver0.

So no matter if I reverse the loco, or the AI switches direction, the driver stays in the "front" cab (a.driver0)

And lastly, are there scripted methods to get around this foolishness?

With the SW7 are you using the reverser to change direction? If so, you'e forward light will stay on. You have to change your train facing. To do this in TS12, go to the megaphone icon (I think it's a megaphone) and then the option to change facing should be towards the bottom. I'm not sure about the Krocodil problem.

One way to switch which end of the loco is lighted is to start you engine with AI command Drive, the loco will start moving and the forward headlight will come on. Then select Change Direction, the loco will stop, the forward headlight will go out, the rear headlight will come on and the loco will start moving in reverse.
