I got Trainz 2006 a long time ago, and the content manager worked fine. but then my computer ran into a few severe problems and I had to wipe the hard drive. I just reinstalled it, and the download station isn't working right... I know I'm logged in, because it doesn't say Register Serial on the left and it shows the status of my 1st class ticket at the top. When I go to the download station tab, or if I search something, like ATSF (which I knew had lots of items), it says There are no Items to Display, and it only spent less than a second searching. any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks!
(running XP, by the way)

click the locos sign, top left, then click description, type ATSF, just brought up loads of them for me.

when your at the download station there's a row along the top, locos, bogies, scenarios etc.
at the top of your first post you'll see a link to the download station.

Also make sure you have your version ticked in the small boxes next to the search panel.

im using Trainz 2006 and Content Manager Plus. so you're saying I should try doing the browser way instead on content manager?

Hi brbreaker,

If nothing shows up in CMP maybe you have not selected anything. In the search box click on the lefthand box arrow and select category, (see circle one.) Then click on the next box arrow and select locomotives, (see circle 2) Then click apply. If the list comes up jumbled click on the name header and this will sort them into alphabetical order, (see circle 3.) If still nothing comes up you might have to reinstall, but post back before reinstalling, there might be another way to fix it.

Hi fran1,

It is a little bit tricky doing screenshots when you are not actually in Trainz. If you use the print screen key the pic will go to your (damn I've forgotten the name of it), like a scratch pad. To get it back onto the screen you will have to load a photo editing program, click on FILE then NEW to get a blank document, then click on EDIT then PASTE. You can then save it to a handy location and upload it through photobucket or a similar hosting site.

EDIT clip board is the name I was trying to remember. Just a small senior moment.

Cheers

I can see local content, my problem is seeing download station content from the content manager. I can download stuff from the 2004 browser download station just fine. Just need a little help viewing from content manager. When I go to the Download Station tab, it only shows 19 items (and I know there are way more items then that). And when I am downloading, it's only at 4-5kb/s. My average download rate is about 65-75kb/s. Would the First Class Ticket bring that up?
Thanks!

without a FCT you will get 4-5Kbps. there is an option if you select download helper for downloads of using FCT via direct link.
In content manager click file, then settings, then miscellaneous, there is an auto commit option, tick it. My thought being your downloads have not been committed so you cant see them.
