A few questions

I have a few questions that I hope someone can help me with.

First I noticed that a lot of the rolling stock that I download has missing dependencies and is unusable. Especially from www.rrmods.com and www.uslw.net, I've noticed it more in TS12 too. I didn't have this problem in TS2009. Second of all, if I download the smart signal searchlights and then try and use them in the game along with the JR MS searchlights they don't work. (Appear dark), I need the smart signal ones because there isn't a generic 2-aspect permissive signal (with a renamable number plate) that preceeds interlocking plants i.e. facing point entrances of sidings. How can I fix this problem. Also would buying a first-class ticket eliminate a lot of the missing dependency problems. I can't download a lot of the locos and rolling stock that I like. In addition to having the dependency problems, I noticed a lot of the stuff I look for or download is also obsolete, which wasn't the case in TS2009 or 10. Is there a way to fix this issue. Also in the next version of Trainz, can you still have the Mojave sub rail with an option to lay one or two tracks, (i.e. 2-track grey, 2 track grey terrain)when I lay double track or sidings I like to have the two track option because if I lay each track individually, they sometimes junction when I don't want them too. Also if I purchase a first class ticket, how do I convert it to US dollars?

Please help me out
Thank you:

To convert to US dollars do an online search for a currency converter.
now buying a fact will not add the missing assets only speed up your downloads. To fix the assets - right click on the faulty asset and select the option to view dependencies. On the window that opens there is an option at the bottom to view in main window. If you look at the list you can drag it into the window at top left to download the missing assets. If the item is old you may have dependencies that don't show. You may have to google the kuid number to try to find them. Hope this gets you started

Steven,

Point 1) TS12 is more 'fussy about ' or 'intolerant of ' assets with errors or missing dependancies than early versions, so thats not surprising.

Point 2) Buying a FCT won't help with dependancies, but I would suggest you get one anyway because it's a lot quicker and less painful than the standard download. You can always try an internet search for the missing assets by entering "Trainz KUID Number" into Google or another search engine.

Point 3) When you go to buy one there is a currency converter on the purchase page (if I recall correctly it's bottom right somewhere).

Kory,

The MS signals are dark by default and come on when the train approaches the signals. This is called approach lit. For the other search light signals, ensure you have all of the dependencies from www.jointedrail.com

I use only the JR Searchlight signals on my routes and have had no problem with them what-so-ever.
