A couple questions about Surveyor Units of Measure and Curve Radii

Are Surveyor working units meters or feet? Can one or the other be selected and how?

What should be the minimum curve radius for a switch to a siding from the line for track-side customers to accommodate six-axle diesel locomotives in western America? When editing routes, I like to make sure curves are realistic.

The get the radius tool is in meters. The ruler can be either feet or meters depending on what you select when setting up the route.

with the get curve radius, I find that only touching the very outside edge, of the inside curve spline points, gives you a reasonable measurement numeral.

I measure curves and turnouts on Google Earth ... an East Broad Top NG RR, will have completely different radius and curves than a high speed mainline
