64 bit compaibiity

I have purchased a Windows 7 version of Trainz12 which loads OK but does not respond to the cabin levers & controls with no sound also, I suspect that the this version is not responding owing to my system being 64 bit Quad Core.
I have also searched within the game for 64 bit compatibility update without any luck, so please has anyone got a solution to my problem.:(

Has nothing to do with a 64bit OS unfortunately. So you have been barking up the wrong tree in that respect.

I suspect it may have something to do with how your computer is configured or the locomotive in question more then anything else.

Hi Reprobate,

Welcome to the forums.

Some details about your system may come in useful here. I have a utility on my tutorial website that can help with this.

Also, the following details will come in useful.
  • Build version - this is in the bottom right corner of the Launcher screen.
  • Name of asset if known.
Also, as you are using Windows 7, Trainz should be run as administrator. See the 'Running as administrator' tutorial on my site for assistance with this.

OK. The graphics card and sound card are integrated which may cause sound and graphics issues in Trainz.

You need to install two patches for your version. See http://shaneturner12.awardspace.co.uk/trainzdata/index.php?page=patching-guide-of-ts2009-10-12 for my advice on installing patches.

The two patches you will need are 47452 to 48249 and 48249 to 49922. Both these patches are available via links from my tutorial website at http://shaneturner12.awardspace.co.uk/trainzdata/index.php?page=ts12.

You might find that you will need to have a registered version of Trainz to apply the patches.
Click on the tab at the top of the forum marked "Register" and enter your serial number.

That is correct. Trainz patches will not install unless the version is registered with N3V.

Thankyou Deano5 for pointing that out.:)

The download 47452 to 48249 loaded OK.

The download 48249 to 49922 would not download because my antivirus rejected it as a danger to my computer & the same result from another website

Disable your antivirus when installing and I suggest to get the download.
