3d creation software

I have recently downloaded Blender 3d to my computer to use with Trainz Simulator 2010: Engineers Edition and I am in need of some help creating the content I need to create a version of the Cityrail Network. For the latest version 2.58a you'll need the new exporter but no one has rewritten the tutorials that were done for 2.49b.

The interface is slightly different and there is a thread on Blender 2.5 floating around which has some information.

There is a learning curve on this stuff by the way.

I actually need some help creating the conent and the environment so I am able to set the route up. Could anybody help me with this?
