having had great success with the help of this forum at upgrading the 36 inch Heisler for trainz 2010, I would like the help of this forum in updating the 36 inch gauge Dunkirk. Here is the warnings list I am left with:
Error: Unable to load alpha texture '36dunkirk_art/dunkirk_art_icon.tga' for texture file '36dunkirk_art/36dunkirk_art_icon.texture.txt'.
Error: The primary and alpha texture are not the same size for '36dunkirk_art/36dunkirk_art_icon.texture.txt'
Error: Unable to load primary texture '36dunkirk_body/image1.tga' for texture file '36dunkirk_body/image1.texture.txt'.
Error: The texture '36dunkirk_body/refl.tga' is not a power of 2, please resize it.
Error: The texture '36dunkirk_body/trussrod.tga' is not a power of 2, please resize it.
Any instructions gratefully received!~
Thanks in advance

Progress

I dont know if anyone can help me, but part of the problem is that the engine sounds file on DLS does not load into CM v3.3. The file is kuid:67261:53003, and I presume it's in an older format. Is there any way this can be altered to work in Trainz 2010
TIA

Almost got it working!

The answer to the previous problem turned out to be to alter the config file of the enginesounds to point to a viable asset, so I used the sound file to the ws Heisler. Success! The Dunkirk 36 now loads nicely in Trainz2010, whistles like anything, and looks a treat. Can I ask the group, please, to help me with a couple of outstanding issues:
1. How do I alter the config file of the enginespec to give the Dunkirk a realistic chuff? Since the Heisler engine sounds are loaded, I imagine this is simple if you know how.
2. How do I add a couple of guys to chuck wood into the boiler?
3. How do I get the light to really light up?
4. How can I share the working model with others, including all the altered dependencies, to save others the work?
TIA

1. Edit the config.txt file of the Dunkirk loco to change the enginespec tag kuid to the Heisler enginespec kuid will make the Dunkirk sound like the Heisler.
2. To add a fireman you have to create an animated mesh (fire up your copy of Gmax or Blender) and add it as an attachment.
3. If you mean the headlight, it works when I press the L key.
4. You can't upload anything whose kuid is not yours. You could clone the original, make your changes, get the original authors permission then upload it with your new kuid number.
