Hello experts!

My problems stem from importing a very early user/me created UTC route.
This ancient and original route was also imported into both 04 & 06, << this might just be the easiest method of resolving my current problems. (reinstalling).

Upon rehashing of this monstrous route my aim is to have it require as little DLS custom content as possible, and release numerous versions of it.
Eg: Construction phase, where the complex is nearing completion, all track in place, but still needs raw material supply scenarios. (only basically textured)
Opening phase, where all routes are finished and all construction has been completed. Construction/building related texturing complete.
Full operational phase, where all texturing has been finalised and people actually live in/around and populate the mammoth complex.

1, In TS12 is it possible to delete ground textures? Via config file, via CMP, via any possible means?

2, I used concrete high speed rail for some sections that is not in TS12. It appears as broken lines but the splines are still perfectly placed. I cannot "get"
the KUID from the surveyor picker to enable easy replacement of it.
Once again what method is there, (apart from re-installing earlier TRS versions), to find out what on earth the KUID of these rails was/is?

3, Finally, I jokingly asked this in another thread but I would like to know, I ask in plain english this time :P
When I download items from the DLS using CMP. Is there anyway I can bypass having them installed stright into TS12, which is, of course, what happens
when using it. Can I just download the .cdp itself like the good old days? (havent tried it that way just yet).

Any help or comments would be most appreciated!

I can make notes on 2 and 3:
2) The track that shows as lines only was "imported" from the days of 2004 or 6. You must have still a copy of the map that you can open (Hope??). There you can see the KUID no. Always back-up old routes so you can see them if needed (I do it) with an old copy of 04 or 6. Once you have the KUID no, look into a newer version that works in TS12... 3) Download using the helper, and when it asks you if you want to save.. save it to downloads or desktop. From there you see the CDP icon, save it to a folder you should have of CDP content (if you don't have one, make it and make a library of downloaded KUID's), and keep it for whatever reason you may need. Then, click on the CDP icon and it should install into your TS12.

Yes I still have the original map as it ended up in 2006,
Excellent comments & help thank you :-)

There used to be a way of deleting ground textures up to 2006. I think it stopped there. Mayby the textures are more complicated in 09, 10 and 12.
Don't hold me to it but I think it was simply called grid.

Q3 is easy, just download from the DLS which are a CDP forget the CM, that way you can import them into any trains version.
