I am using a helix with a 1.1m radius. If I marquee select the entire helix is it possible to scale the length of all the track segments to 76.4% to give a helix with 0.84m radius? It sure would be nice to have a way to do that.
The Marquee Anchor Control (see the Wiki at Marquee_Anchor_Controls) has a resize anchor that will allow you to scale the marquee selection area and all its contents in a horizontal direction. This will scale the distances between the selected objects and the lengths of selected splines in the direction of motion. Try it and see if it does what you want.

The goal is to, for each segment of track spline (which in a helix will be curved) change the horizontal distance between the vertices to 76.4% of their original spacing and likewise for vertical spaces while keeping the segments joined to the next segment. If the scale option could be used to set the % to 76.4% (for example) and the above procedure could be applied to the whole spline of the helix, the radius would be changed and the height of each vertex would remain unchanged. But I have found no way to activate the scale option so I have no way to test this, and I have no idea how the scale option would actually change a track spline. But simply manually moving a point and changing one dimension without any numerical control would not retain the shape of a helix.
