2009 Beta EXPIRED ! Whats up with that ??

After several attempts, I finally was able to extract the files . . . no "corrupt" error message.

BUT . . . When I try to launch 2009 Beta, it says "pre-release version has expired" then it exits . . . won't launch !

HELP ! Is there an "unexpired" version of 2009 Beta? My boxed copy is still about a month or so away from delivery.

Any recent pre-order people having the same problem ??

It was always the case that the BETA version would expire when the proper version was released. I'm afraid you'll hve to be patient - unless you can download the "Gold" edition now?

The download version is available now to download and the boxed will be shipped mid December

I have pre-ordered the box version. (I live in a rural area with only dial-up connection) So, what I am told now is that I have to wait a couple of weeks! Is there no mercy for those who ordered the boxed version? Come on!! Some professionalism would be good! In an e-mail I received (Nov. 5/08) I was told that the Beta Serial Number would be good until Dec. 5. PLEASE advise!

Have a look in your planet Auran profile under purchase history, this should tell you which type you bought.

The email I received said good until the end of November when I downloaded the Beta edition. I believe November 5th was the download date. Imagine my surprise when a pop up said my edition had expired. Do we live by different calendars? Returning to the 2006 version was certainly a let down and had me wanting more because I had saw first hand how the 2009 was a hundred times better. Better graphics in general. Better sound, and just a better improvement over 2006. Thanks Trainz for your hard work. It certainly has paid off.

November 27 does seem to me like the end of November.

Anyway, the main point is that there is no need to run a Beta which will identify bugs that have long since been fixed. It sounds like people are really after a free trial version which I'm afraid isn't what we are offering.

It would have been nice to be able to work with the 2009 beta until my copy on DVD arrives. That's one thing I've learned through the years. Patience. Good things come to those that wait.

Well the BETA expired and you had me hooked. Ordered Downdload yesterday was up and running gold within 2 hours. It sure is the best version yet.
