C cascaderailroad New member Nov 20, 2009 #2 I think I know what you are trying to figure out... See: Google Earth/Tools/Ruler/Metric There is Line & Path Ruler tool to measure distances. You can even draw a 1kmx1km square in Ruler/Path...and MS Snip that image.
