    Narrow gauge screenshots

The largest rock formation on the Gunnison line . the DSPP section this whole area is a flood plain from Parlin to Gunnison, with waterlogged land next to the DSPP track on both sides and a fair amount around the DRGW line as well, although being first to arrive in Gunnison, they snatched...

Looking for someone to make a DRGW DEM. Prepared to pay .

this issue has now been rectified, I managed to retrieve the route .The DEM on the DLS is unsuitable to join on to the Alpine Tunnel DSPP/DRGW route as the dem is a different height , a new dem would need to be made in TRS 2022 to allow a height change to be made to enable a merge with my...

    Logging Trucks?

pretty sure there used to be something like this around, at least of the truck itself, I have a memory of this type, its the truck from the movie DUEL, its on the DLS in various guises but it doesn't have a logging trailer. have you checked the logging trucks created by ricomon, "RC 1900s log...

    My ROUTE from Nov 2022

This is such a pain in the posterior , it’s seemingly never going to be addressed by NV3, presumably they think it is a trivial matter . The only solution is to download all the DLC packages , but even the changes in built in content will cause issues.

    Narrow gauge screenshots

Some shots from the Gunnison area Alpine tunnel route. one of the best aspects of this route is that it features two separate railroads in one spot. DRGW roundhouse DSP&P roundhouse, the original had one more stall.

    Colorado Narrow Gauge?

Ongoing Investigation: SP6 Route Performance & Redraw Issues

Cheers, they are far from brilliant , but they are a bit more convincing than the standard billboard items. I have now taken to uploading library files a day or so before I upload the assets as last time when I uploaded them all in one hit the library appeared on the DLS, but the assets did not...

Ongoing Investigation: SP6 Route Performance & Redraw Issues

I’ve been updating the sage rabbitbrush shrub assets that use the old jvc Harold minky assets that mostly hide the fact that these are billboards , they were ok in other versions of trainz but slowed everything down in 2022, the new versions are 70,000 triangles vs over a million in the old...

Yeah, he also gave me permission of modify and release anything made by him under my kuid to use in the Uintah railway. He had a remarkable longevity record.

    Ignore this post

I would like to know what happened to Peter , the OP. He would now be well over 100, last time I saw him was in the external shed/rumpus room he was living in , behind a relatives house in a leafy Adelaide suburb . I imagine he has now passed on to the great railroad in the sky , VALE Peter...

weird lagging with one board in middle of route.

Today I've had to delete and remake one board right in the middle of a route due to such bad lagging when I tried to manipulate terrain. It was so bad that I could hardly move the cursor, eventually I deleted all objects and textures and went back to the bare grid - it STILL would not allow me...

    Trainz Update Announcement (SP6)

I've been gradually scaling some of them down and trying to remove the carpet effect. and also making them a bit more MB efficient by shrinking the file size,as long as it doesn't degrade the image , 36mg or more for a basic texture seems excessive to me.

    Real Life Model Railroading

So did my dad, he worked on the railways as a fireman and my grandfather drove on the GWR , had no choice but to love trains with that background. Dad died of lung cancer in 1989 , 18 months after migrating to Australia, I had an entire garage all ready to build a rocky mountain layout and he...

    Real Life Model Railroading

Hmm, a new member who gave up on the sim years ago, then why are you bothering to post here at all ? Anyway, I gave up on model railroads several decades ago, you have to have a LOT of space to achieve anything meaningful , the models are HUGELY expensive and it makes a great deal of mess to...
