this has never happen before, when I try and go into coal county on Trainz 22, it takes like 10 minutes and then it just shuts down completely. like the whole Trainz tab is closed. I don't know what happened and I just want to play coal county. but it won't let me because it just won't work any more. can anyone, ANYONE, please help me?

update: now my Trains(engines, railcars etc) are not working, they don't have wells in the preview screen and when I try to spawn them, it says "train creation failed". I am really mad and sad because most of mainly all my stuff won't work. that over $500 gone worth of Trainz. I might just delete my Trainz 22 and never play this stupid program again. I'm down with this program. I have had too many problems with this.

It could help if you could supply two pieces of information.
  • The build number of your version of Trainz 22
  • The <kuid> code(s) of Coal Country route and/or session - there are 30 of them listed.
it won't work, all my Trainz don't have wheels and now they won't spawn. I am really upset and I will properly delete this stupid program.

Interesting. You quoted my request but failed to answer it.

As you are unable to provide the requested information then we are unable to help you.

My advice. Delete the program and try something else.

that's what I'm going to do

update: I am done with Trainz. this program has failed me 4 times. I have spent over $500 on this program and I'm done. I will be deleting this program and properly never downloading it back. if I do, I'm not buying any custom content.

How about doing a fresh reinstall of Trainz 22? Pain in the rear but sometimes it's the only thing that will work, or maybe your computer or Windows is corrupted. There is no other train sim I'm aware of that offers an easy way to build routes like Trainz does. Maybe back up important stuff and do a reinstall of Windows. Defrag your hard drive.

A few points.

You have refused to provide the information we need to help diagnose your problem.
You ignore advice.
You let your anger and frustration get the better of you.

None of which are encouraging for anyone who is prepared to try and help you.

Since no-one else has reported these problems with TRS22 running as an unknown version (the build number on the bottom left of your launch screen) installed from an unknown source (Trainz Store, Steam, Apple Store) on an unknown OS (Windows 7/8/Vista/10/11?, Steam, MacOS) then what do you expect us to do?

He did respond...

It's broken and I quit.

We will never know exactly what the issue is.

He should check that he's logged in for starters because if he's not logged in, any packaged assets will be missing.

Then if he is, a regular DBR should be tried first prior to an EDR.

Hey guys! here's a little update on my trainz, so only around 1/4 of my stuff is not working, when I try and spawn it, it says "train creation failed" I've seen some of your suggestions, and they have really helped out a lot. I'm sorry pware for not answering your question, my build number for trains is 132339 but coal county works now.

hey man! so my coal county works but the build number for trains is 132339. and my jointed rail's CSX ES44AH early and not and there WM heritage unit and there 911 unit is not working for me, in the preview screen they don't have any wheels and when I try and spawn them, it says "train creation failed" so is there anything I can do?

build number for trains is 132339
That is not a regular retail release build number. Are you using a beta (test) version?

is there anything I can do?
One possibility is that those assets are faulty, e.g. they may have missing dependencies. You will need to use Content Manager to help diagnose the problem.

If you have not used Content Manager before then:-
  1. from the Trainz Launcher click the Manage Content option. You will see a scrollable list of all your installed assets with their properties - their IDs, types, file sizes, etc
  2. at the top of the screen, where it says Filter Installed, click in the "Installed" box and a drop down list of different filters will appear
  3. one of the filters will be called Faulty (if the list is long you may have to scroll up or down to see it). Click Faulty.
  4. a list of all the faulty assets, in red, will appear
  5. find your troublesome locos in the list and look at the Status item in their properties. Do the words "Missing dependencies" appear?
    1. If so then right mouse click on one of these assets (click anywhere in the row) and select the option List Dependencies from the drop down list
    2. The names (if available) and ID codes of any missing parts (such as the bogies) will be shown.
Report back with the names (if available) and ID codes of those mussing assets. A simple trick to use here is to left click on a row, open the Edit menu, select Copy and then paste (Ctrl+V) it into your forum post.
