Test & News

Tokkyu40-san & Dimonio-san, thanks.
I tried to change TRS04's setting.
The min. setting is as follows;
Only the Trains's ssetting is max. and others are min.
Then the roof of only one OEBB2092 is disappeared:'( .

But my many loco aer appeared in the reset setting as follows;
080401tlrsakai5t06body0fi1.jpg

But this OEBB2092's problem does not occured in my main PC(Athlon64 3000+ + Geforce7600GT).
This PC has PEN3 2.4CGHz + poor graphic board:'( .
Maybe this PC is very poor, and OEBB2092 data is too big to this PC.

And then my loco is temporally finished:D .

Their details are on my blog.

hi Hanshin9501 just a thought open the folder of the loco and make sure all the textures are a factor of 2 ( 64x64 , 128x128 , 256x256 , 512x512 )
sometimes all you need is one texture to be the wrong size to do crazy things

hope this helps you

tga.file size

Electro-san.
I checked size of textures.
The OEBB2092 has main tga.file which is 512x256.
Is it iregular size?
My locos have 1024x1024/512x512 tga.file.
Thank you.

i tested the size of your texture on one of my models with no problems :)
a couple of Queistions for that texture,

1 is that texture used on any other part of your loco ? if not resize it to 64x64 or 128x128

2 in survayor lay a pice of track, make the track height 20.00 place your loco on the track go in to driver mode go to Exturnal view rotate round to the back then down , Do you see the inside top of the loco ? ?

if so you will need to rotate the top round or redo the top so the texture is on the out side of the loco :)

Thanks & News

Electro-san, thanks.
But I can't understand your comment because I'm poor at English and I'm a begginer for TRAINZ, sorry:'( .

So I finished my "TLR SAKAI 5ton Diesel Loco".
It would become quite good?:D

Ganbatté!
Hanshin san, don't hesitate because you are a beginner.
Nanji no katana mijikakeraba, ippo susunde as the admiral put it.

Anyway; regarding textures anything binary will do. The "normal" being 1 x 1 and 2 x 1 does not exclude 1 x 4 or 4 x 1 textures being used at all.

In my experience large logos or company names on the sides of locomotives or waggons are better rendered using a rectangular texture layout rather than a square one.
But in the end what makes up the perfect format for a given model depends on many different factors, and you will soon find your own way of doing things. The best advice I can offer is to keep going.

:D Hanshin9501 the TLR SAKAI 5ton Diesel Loco looks great keep working on the other to fix the texture problem :udrool:

only shortcut after all

Hi, all TRAINZ veterans.
Thank you for your suggestions/opinions etc.
I want to continue this work all the time.
It will be only shortcut after all.

Now I'm conscious to use 1024x1024 size tga.file for loco bodies.
Because my 3D-model is poor:'( , so it covers it's fault , I think.
Likewise I also use 512x512 size tga.file for bogies.

imageshackmyimage03tg0.jpg

Your 3d modelling looks very good to me.
You might try using 1024x512 .tga files for the body and see how it looks. A smaller file is faster for the computer to read, so if it looks good it would improve frame rates. Some trains with a lot of details will still need the larger image.
Your skills are growing quickly. Congratulations on your inspiring success.

Supporting role(2)

boleamj-san, how are you?
Unfortunately I can't see what you want, because I'm not good at English.
Please teach concretely & easily.

Next is the Marugo-Shoten, old Japanese general shop at the Nashimoto timber yard which supplied all the life articles for TLR's personel.

Your work is excellent, Hanshin. Well done. It makes a nice change to see routes from countries other than US/UK. Even though I live in the UK, I am bored with British railways and so I like to see work like yours.

Best wishes,
Padster

Those trains, where can I get them?

Thanks for responding ;)

P.S: I just have seen some coches on your blog, are they Maite and Suha cars? :udrool:

boleamj-san, thanks:D .
Those models are EMUs of Hanshin Electric Railway in west Japan. I go to work by this train every day.
Those are repainted to AEA/AEB downloaded from this site.
http://www.trensim.com/lib/pafiledb.php?lib=trainz&action=file&id=94
When I re-painted them, I made efforts to get re-painting permission from the author, but I could not receive his answer:'( , because he is very busy.
Therefore I can't up them to the DLS. But it's easy to re-paint. Please try to re-paint:wave: .
The KIHA11 from Nozoming-san in #49 of this thread who is my teacher is easy for re-paint exercise.
I intend to make Hanshin train from a beginning soon.

hanshin-san, your buildings look very good. I hope you'll add some of your new content to the DLS soon.

 Claude

Because work was busy, I took a rest for a long time.
tokkyu40-san, please wait for my contents upload to DLS.
Because my traincars have funny portions, such as enginesound, light, etc:'( . I adjust them a little now.

So, I make some simple contents for my TLR2007 as follows;
Workers on the logging cars are TLR Logcar Workers.
Workers on the tracks are TLR Tracks Workers.
And workers beside logs are TLR Log workers.
Others are Log Tower(Yagura in Japanese), re-maked Hino Truck.
