The Tuscan and Yellow Colours were the best Colours that the NSWGR stole for itself, the stolen candy colours were just not as good.

I was not happy when they painted 8101 in Candy, man it looks/looked better in tuscan.

Oh and the VR guys were just as bad they stole the Blue and Gold as well.

There were pics on the austrains web site but there image page is being updated

I did see a tuscan 8101 when working at Clyde but it was never lined out in yellow with the tuscan being a undercoat, the first ones off the Clyde line at Bathurst were under coated in this very dark red rust proofing undercoat, that in the right light looked like tuscan, plus with the fact that the paint shop was not part of the main build and often part painted 81's were left outside the building. It was easy to think 8101 was going to be Tuscan and Yellow.

IIRC the first 10 had the tuscan under coat but not used from then on, also one of the problems why quite a few 81's in the first few years had to go back to Bathurst to fix rusting problems when the under coat was not used.

Ok 81's were almost Tuscan and Yellow, and some people will swear thay have seen 8101 in tuscan and yellow but no sorry, the new 81's were seen as a great tool to lunch the stolen new SRA candy Colours

Question 1 - were did the NSW Tuscan and Yellow come from
Question 2 - were did the NSW Candy come from
Question 3 - what railroad locos pre date the VR blue and Gold but look a lot like them

Any answers ??????

I remember seeing a picture recently of 8101 in Tuscan and G220 in VR Blue and Gold on Railpage (alas in HO Scale). Once RP comes back online I'll try and find them for you :)

Also thanks for the comment Patchy, however the texturing work credit goes to the CWS guys, they always do a great job :)

ohh, Cardiff Workshops. How great thou art. Now I can't find my TRS 09 disc so I can't download the new items yet.

This screenshot is in dedication to Davido & 3830 for their amazing models and work. With the release of Davido's 422 class locos recently, all i can say is Exellent =] I love the detail and effort put into this particular loco. All that hard work really shows off what amazing talent you two have. Well Done guys and the Australian trainz players can not thankyou enough for your work and talent. =]

Thankyou for your really nice comment. I think I speak for Dave aswell when I say that I appreciate your complement. I'm glad you guys are getting enjoyment out of Dave's content, as that loco in particular is a fantastic model.

Hey, guys Davido's 422 class looks awesome in the Tuscan and the Indian Red livery with the new State Rail Authority logo on it. I can predict that sometime later the 422 will be in the SRA Candy livery and that 44 class many pages back will be a great addition to the already awesome 422 so, just to say I will check back to this thread to see Davido's progress.

:cool:____________
Cheers mbv67.

Question 1 - were did the NSW Tuscan and Yellow come from
Question 2 - were did the NSW Candy come from
Question 3 - what railroad locos pre date the VR blue and Gold but look a lot like them
wow ok nobody seems to be able to answer the questions so I will give a few hints
Q1 I was called the standard railroad of the world
Q2 I was called the daylight
Q3 I used the Blue and Gold same as VR on my freight F7's and Silver and Red on my Passenger ones

:hehe: :'(
