Well, I wanted the portal to pop 3 SD40s, and 10 60' tanker cars. I managed to type in 109. Made a real long train. The engines pulled it, but very slowly.:hehe:
Quicky way for haulage', figure 2.5 to 3 hp per ton. SP used to figure a 2 8 0 or one FT would pull about 700 tons over the loop. If anybody is intrested I do have tonnage tables between Mojave and Backersfield. There is a slight differance in loading between east and west. What you need to rembember is it is not the number of cars but the tonnage. To find out tonnage on a train in a session hold control & right click on your lead unit and go to properties.
