Driver commands - time&weather

I did understand that we can change time and weather from the driver commands but.. what is the selection changeability > steady/unsteady/periodic refers to? what is that used for? i couldn't find any thing about that ? please help..

What version Trainz are you using? There are better ways, such as the Set Driver's Conditions Rule, which allows you change the time and weather on the fly in Driver.

In addition to that i ve also another question how can i give smooth elevations in surveyors while creating maps?

It allows you to specify whether you want the weather to remain stable, or to vary with time.

The best method is to use DEM data or start with one of fishlipsatwork routes.

I don't know if Set Driver's Conditions Rules works in 2009, I rather doubt it. Anyway, have a look at this thread about smoothing terrain:
