For those needing access to the White Pages FTP try this: I E virtual mode.

I came across an article regarding Micrsoft killing support for Internet Explorer. While this is a welcome thing for the most part, there is still a good thing about it such the ability to download via FTP. The article explains that Microsoft has embedded a compatibility mode for IE within Edge. By enabling the compatibility mode, you want to use I E mode for, you can then download via FTP if you need to.

Now the caveat is this only applies to Windows and only to Edge browser, but for those on the PC and Windows platform, we have a workaround for this issue at least for now without resorting to an FTP application.

RIP Internet Explorer: Microsoft's iconic browser is dying June 15 | PCWorld

For those that don't want to read the article, which makes this more complicated than it needs, these are the settings that work:

In Edge:
Click on Settings.
Click on Default Browser.
Set it up like this:

Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge: Always (Recommended)

Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode: set to Allow

Internet Explorer mode pages:

Put in https://www.auran.com/DLS

Notes:

1) This is only good for thirty days. If you don't use this often, you'll have to add in the site URL again.
2) This requires a browser restart.

I also use FileZilla, but not everyone uses clients. This is easier because there's one less thing needed to perform a task.

This post is the better of the two. For some reason I ended up with two posts when editing. The other has empty places as I copied and pasted stuff. Browser glitches while editing a post about a browser.

Yup fair play John, to be honest i have never used a browser for ftp file transfers.

Hahahahaha, glitch away. There can never be too many posts to read. :hehe:

Mike.
