Help importing REALLY old routes into TRS19.

As you all know, installing any route that was built in trainz 06 (if not older) into TRS19 causes a few.....odd issues.

But i have heard that there is a way around this, by first installing the route into 12 or TANE and the moving the route over to 19. Thing is, i tried that already and the route was still messed up.

So could someone help me out here?

Sometimes loading the old route into TS2009 then TS2012 before loading it into TS2019 will do the trick, but in general I've found loading into TS2012 first is enough.

So i just install the route in 12 then pack it up as a CDP and then import it to 19?

Ah NO! It's a bit more involved than that. You need to 'save as' in the intermediary trainz. THEN pack it up and install in 19.

That would probably explain why it didn't work the first time i tried it! XD

So, could you walk me through how to do this the right way?

That is the part you missed, the rest should be correct. Install in intermediary, save as, export to cdp with modifieds in a separate cdp, drag and drop one or both cdp's on TRS19 CM, once installed check for open for edit if installing modifieds and revert, check for missing deps and download, search and install any third party deps. drive.
