The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet train, which is expected to have its maiden journey in 2022, will run under water for a short distance en route.
I do hope that scuba gear and a face mask will be included in the fare!

Fortunately, my family and I are healthy. But to tell the truth self-isolation is harder than I expected. Now I work at home and I really miss my friends and collegues. Hope it will ends soon so we could get back to work and seeing each others.
During this time I learned to sew and completed a course in web design online
The pandemic has reared its ugly head in my neck of the woods. I was informed today that my plant manager may have contracted the dreaded COVID-19 and he is waiting on tests. This means everyone at my plant has been put on medical leave pending the outcome of his tests. Luckily we will be paid and they will not take our PTO time. I will admit I'm a nervous not knowing if I have been exposed or brought it home to Mrs. T1O. I guess one of the joys being an essential employee; at least until your infected.
On the bright side with this unexpected break from work I should be able to finish up the new update to the L&A route and hopefully bring it up to TRS19 standards.

Same thing is happening here - paramedics, nurses, doctors, pharmacists, etc are getting abused and even physically assaulted (sometimes far worse than spitting). There is also a racist element in some of these incidents with absolute "bogans" (local slang for utter morons) who are blaming Asians for the virus. The maximum penalty for threatening to infect a healthcare worker or paramedical worker with an infectious disease is life imprisonment here.
I decided to start a new route, based on the geography of Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. Got the terrain using Trainz-dem yesterday. Located on a tombolo, one side of the city is port, the other side is beach. Several rail lines (the Shinkansen does not go to downtown however because it will later be built north to Sapporo). Hakodate also has a aerial tram from the city up to the top of Hakodate-yama. Several tram lines round out the transit scene. However, my route will be a North American city built there since Japanese content is limited on the DLS and I have never been there unless you count you-tube.
So what is the connection to Trainz you might ask? Hakodate was one of the first Japanese cities opened to foreigners after 250 years of isolation. And instrumental to this was the gift by US Navy Commodore Matthew Perry of a miniature steam train to the Japanese elite. They imported a full-size train and cars a few years later from the UK and have been building trains themselves ever since. Google matthew perry train gift to learn more.
