Early US Semaphore question

Frogpipe made some. I'm not sure if he ever put them on the DLS.

There are some up there already though. I think they're made by Superchief, but that might be a longshot.

US&S semaphore and B&M singals I think these are called, going from memory since I'm not at my Trainzing computer.

I believe that there are no US signals from the era you are looking for.

EDIT: Oh, yes there is one

I almost forgot. I have not tried using this on a Standard Gauge route. It is not a semaphore but it is the only manual/mechanical US signal I'm aware of.

All of these are, I think, much more modern than the era you are seeking. These are all electrically operated, I believe and all appear to use electric light bulbs.
There are some mechanically operated signals but they are European or AUS. No American mechanical signals that I know of other than some stations which have signals built in and some order boards. (see edit at top of post)

I've experimented with using European (UK) manual/mechanical signals on early US routes but they are kinda unsatisfactory.

While there are no Banjo signals that I am aware of but there is a Banjo crossing <kuid2:39134:101200:1> Grade Xing US 2L 1T Banjo by the late, great bnsf50.

Thanks for the replies. There's probably a few in there that will work. I imagine back then they were still man operated and simple in design.
Just keep the oil lamps lit and flip them as needed.
In a book I read, the engineer would refer to a signal as a "green board"...so pretty safe to say he was talking about a semaphore.

BTW, does George Fisher still come around ? Great guy !
