Which version did you purchase? Some versions don't come with serial numbers and are registered by putting your username and password in the Settings box.
If it's not a boxed version then it comes under the 'not requiring a serial number' list - if you put your username and password in Trainz Settings it should add the icon here for you. No worries as well.
