Back in the days of steam in South Africa, a steam generator used to be coupled between the tender and 1st car. Would any person be able to build one? A photo is as follows:

Sorry, but I have no idea where to begin. That is one unique-looking rail vehicle though. Our steam generators look like b-units for diesels.

We used to call it the SHV - Steam Heating Vehicle - coupled on many steam drawn passenger trains in the cold parts of South Africa in winter. Basically had the shape of a tankcar
Can't build one ..have no clue or inclination to build at this time.
