Save a BN F45!

Without reading the whole Indiegogo site, how is a contributor assured their money goes to the stated cause? Also what happens to contributor money if the $75k goal is not met and therefore the loco is scrapped?

There is only 4 days left to collect 97% of the $75k, it doesn't look good for that campaign. Also the US is a big country, if it is displayed in Montana for example, what good does that do people in Chicago or St Louis?

Perhaps the Smithsonian should be contacted.

The money that doesn't go to the F45 will instead go to the SDP40 for nose work and some paint. Also, they are a certified non-profit, so there's no problems there.

Yeah, it does seem quite worrying. 75 dollars is a lot, and it could possibly go up. I donated 5 bucks after reading all the info.

It might probably end up as a running locomotive.
