Zooming in and lagging

This is what I created in 5 minutes. When I'm zoomed out, it works fine, but when I zoom in from right at the engine 4 mouse wheel spaces back, it lags really bad!:'(

I have a core2 quad 2.83ghz processor, 1 gig nvidia graphics card, 8gigs of ram, and a 500gb hard drive. Why is it lagging so bad?

Not an answer, but your link is not quite correct, it has http: listed 2 times.

Although perhaps your foliage is too dense, or your settings are too high.

Can't see your graphic but assume it's a loco. When you zoom in close, Trainz draws the object at max resolution meaning lots of polys and if there is animation that adds to the computations the computer has to make per frame, hence the frame rate drops.

What nvidia card model do you have?

Just checked, I have an Nvidia 9800 GT.
