ZigZag Railway Trainz

I've got a nearly complete DD17 and a BB18 1/4 which is roughly a quarter finished, as well as a highly detailed rendition of the route mostly finished aside from about half the custom assets, which are essential for completion.

Problem is, I have almost no enthusiasm left to finish any of it, and all of the work is spread across three old hard drives.

Tom, AKA Flathog, has been convincing me to at least get the more important assets done and release the rest of the unfinished stuff for other people to finish.

I probably haven't done any serious Trainz work for a good year or so, due to an overseas trip and far too many better things in life than spending full-time hours sitting in front of a computer screen making things :)

Dreddman has some betas of the Evans cars which the ZZR uses, but I don't think he's released them.

We'll see what happens.

Yes...unfortunately I can't do much more then re-skin and nag...I've reskinned the C17 and nagged Boobless_Ed...Not much more I can do unfortunately:p

As Boobless_Ed has said however...stayed tuned...I am currently discussing possible methods of re-creating the signalling system to re-install enthusiasm!

jim/all

the evans cars are still undergoing tweaking and adjustments. when dreddmans ready they will be released. i hope you do complete the DD17 as it will look good on Ipswich, and for the record Jim Ipswich has been converted to QLD standard gauge.

cheers

Can you go faster to realese the DD17 and the BB18 1/4.

No, probably not. Well, maybe with the DD, as that's mostly complete. These things take a huge amount of time to finish, and my enthusiasm has died off lately.

Ghosty, there's a good chance I might just release the DD for 3'6" gauge - if I finish it - but I'll probably release the .Max files if anyone else wanted to do the conversion.

Jim

that would be good mate, jim will send you a email about the files better to talk in private over them. if you have a new addy pm me the details.

mathew

just a tip from an old hand dont pressure the creators as they may get rather nasty abnd stop making what they are making or keep it for themselves, i have known and worked with jim for a while as he has helped me with input and advice on ipswich.

cheers

Is this guy serious!? It's not the "QGR Commissioner" again is it?

Just like me (who can't build stuff from scratch) you'll have to wait brother. The more you nag, the more people will go slow to spite you. If you want the DD17 quicker, download GMax or whatever is needed, and take time off work to built it yourself. That's what it comes down to for most - time.

yeah, burnout is a major problem with Trainz. I come and go like the wind too.

Hopefully the Evans cars are released by someone, they'd look good behind 1460s and 2100s etc.:udrool:
