ZecRail Trainz Content

Hi Dave
The consists require the 2013 Christmas Train DLC pack, as I used the rolling stock from the DLC in the consists. There's earlier versions on the DLS (I think 2011's Christmas train?), however I felt it best to use the 2013 wagons as there's more options for rolling stock, and it matches the livery used on the 2013 Christmas Train's locomotive and wagons :)

Just referring to that previous post which i posted, about the Y class. I was in fact talking about the later version model, with the shunter steps and in VR black livery.

This was understood, and the reply still stands:

I stopped uploading after I put the two early Y's on DLS as I came across better high res photos and started rebuilding them and improving textures.

I believe the 'early Y's' refer to those in the old Green livery. All the black ones I believe were only available as betas to Victrainz users.

Pretty much as Steve said, I may of pulled them down though, not really sure.

I built the original ones as low poly and low detail as they where for TS09, there mapping was pretty carp too, however they gave people a couple of years entertainment, the only photos available at the time where Numbers 395 low res (1920s), 445 low res (1920s), 433 low res (1940s), 108 (1960s) & 112 (1960s), As you can see from the image above I'm slowly rebuilding them as I have seen allot more photos pop up over the years of both the Y and RY's from late 1930s to 1950s and I'm still researching them, AD602000 built the preserved 112, I think he pulled that down though.

Cheers.

That is exactly the one that I am referring to Azervich. And I really wish AD602000 put that Y class back.

Cheers

I have some news for you Zec! A M class was preserved, it is at scienceworks.

You head outside to the open ground where that playground is, and there is the steam loco with a couple of red carriages, and it is called M525! I hope you use it as a comparison to your Trainz model! (I could not resist saying that!)

Cheers

Aidyn

All the M's where scrapped by 1922, preservation wasn't around that time, and all M's where built to 4-4-2T also known as the ME Class, your probably thinking Z 526 which lasted into the 1980's as No. 3 Crane.

Cheers.

I think you misread my statement, it is in the playground, a wooden loco with a small yellow numberplate with 'M525' on the side, I think you took my post a little too seriously, I will say again, it is in that playground outside in the yards. under the sun shades. Just thought it was funny.:p

Some of that stuff in East Block was originally in West Block Rd 1a and 1b, they where all moved for the Ned Kelly filming, there are also about 4 V cars too, I remember stripping parts out of it to use on 46 BE, there was also a 4 wheel tank wagon on wooden frames like the 1870-1880 period stock.

I knew one of the guys who was on 183 footplate, he'll sometimes bring his dog into the yard and I'll pat it for a while.

Cheers.

Uh Oh, this is gonna turn into that K183 Thread on Railpage...

Those V cars you mentioned are sadly, outside with the DRC's... and the Hitachis and the Comengs, you can just wander in and have a look, no one stops you, just don't go near the EDI Rail side of the block!

Interesting info Azza! I have only been a volunteer at Steamrail for about a year!

Cheers

Agreed, K183 (oops) has been mentioned multiple times on railpage, except I only saw the war start when someone didn't know what they were talking about. :o

Because posts on that thread contained a LOT of speculation

Hi Aidyn
Might I suggest you think your posts through a little more before posting, so as to avoid the issues that have occurred for most of your posts. For starters, you've publicly posted about trespassing on VicTrack property. This can get you into a lot of trouble, and I would recommend you edit this out of your post...

In regards to a K class for Trainz (or a K183 model), I may do this in future. However my current plans are to complete the M and V class locos, and a few other projects. Beyond that, nothing has been set, as I tend to choose projects by what inspire me at the time (hence the M class; plus it's allowing me to try out quite a few improvements to my models as well).

Regards
