Reminds me of my MTH ho GS-6 4460. Miss "hoodoo". I can not tell you how many times my dad and I have worked on one particular curve just to get that dang thing to work right. It has taken us a total of 8 days total over the months on that one curve. Thank god its fixed.

But seriously bob, that curve is kinda sharp. What is the grade there on that part?

:( that reminds me of the tiny N-scale layout I have and the curve near the tunnel was so sharp that even my bachmann 2-6-2 prarie type engine derailed on it because of the rails that shifted over a certain time period, man, talk about a frustrating problem, but really, nice shot there!;)

it is nice, but, seeing as we're going on with Model Railroad stories...

I'm an N-scale modeller in real life. My layout has a foolishly designed interchange track with two back to back left-hand switches that cars longer than 40ft cannot take and engines must take on a permanent slow order. but, on one day, my trusty Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0, with her Rock Island Livery, came pounding down that track with ten cars and a combine and picked the frog of the first switch. it was embarrasing, not to mention meaning another of my short line's engine has to go down for repairs:o.

I rant way too much.

sawyer11: I used be in Ho Scale and I'd Hand Layed all the track, made my own switches and I even made my own crossings..And to tell you the truth I enjoyed every minute of it..I don't have room anymore, so its stored out in the shed..BUT I HAVE GOT MY TRAINZ..
You guys are right about that curve it does look sharp..

ctrl+h gets rid of the stupid switch arrows for screenshots. Trust me, those thing can ruin an otherwise great screenshot.

tell me about it,I have several screenshots of steam engines running on my route, but again,it annoys me whenever I make a switch that has those colored arrows and that is not very realistic,if I want switches on there, I would use either the CHN turnouts or Pencil42's switches which does solve the annoying arrow problem!;)

Wow. Your map looks absolutely awesome, Bob! That is the kind of map / mauntain pass I want to make. But for some reason, it never turns out like that...:o

olpe: Thanks for the comment..I always like to think about the Geology of a area before I start..The topology tools that we have are really good..Its really hard to understand how they work and to be to your advantage..I sometimes Will take a blank baseboard and try different techniques, just to try if I can achieve something I like..If I can ever be any help to you let me know..
