YARN T-Intersection L2 -3Si -3Sh Issue

dricketts

Trainz Luvr since 2004
After updating this asset YARN T-Intersection L2 -3Si -3Sh to the latest version <kuid2:124017:26016:3> I'm having issues with all of the yarn road splines connecting correctly to one side of the intersection on all instances on my route. I tried deleting the new version and revert back to the outdated version <kuid2:124017:26016:1> for testing but i do not have the original installed any longer. I'm using TS2010.

Does anyone know what is causing the yarn splines not to connect to the yarn intersection on only one side or a fix?

Thanks,

Thanks. I read through both of your threads but I'm not clear if you found a solution. Would deleting the updated version from the route config and replacing it with the original version work?

I can't believe folks are not jumping all over this thread. The YARN assets have been extremely popular for a long time and it seems this issue is not Trainz version specific.

Try connecting to the outer-most connection rather than the inner-most one on the invisible road. I was able to fix other junction to road connections that way.

Dricketts,

Version 3 of the YARN junctions in question are bugged. You need to revert them to version 2. In order to ensure that they stay at version 2 and not automatically updated again by CMP, I've cloned the assets in question.

Thanks. Is your clone on the DLS?

No it isn't, although I've packed them together with Quahog Sub. You can clone yours quite easily too. Just remember to delete the version 3 ones and the previously-obsoleted version 2 will become current, otherwise you'd just be cloning the buggy ones.

That's the problem. I don't have the version two any longer. After I updated assets I deleted all the obsoletes to free up hard drive space. Could you send me your version 2?

Could someone upload their cloned old version of this to the DLS so we have a functioning T intersection? Then post the kuid here. I've deleted my old, working version so I'm out of luck.

Thank you,

mr. dricketts - I have what you need but if I upload the clone will I be doing so illegally? The clone will be under my name but it's not really mine. I will be happy to send it to you in a cdp file if that's legal. As you can probably guess I don't want to step on anyone's toes. Let me know what you want to do.

Download the dependency pack for Coal County here (259MB).

In it you will find the 3 intersections that kept glitching out:
QHG YARN T-Intersection L2 -3Si +2Sh-1Sh,<kuid:366297:100038>
QHG YARN T-Intersection L2 -3Si +3Sh,<kuid:366297:100037>
QHG YARN T-Intersection L2 -3Si -3Sh,<kuid:366297:100036>

I have Maddy's permission to include these in the pack so this would be your most straightforward "legit" shot at obtaining the version twos.

The other thing you can do is find the obsolete V2 on the DLS > Right click > "Download this version".
