I was out and about driving around today, and I got a call from my friend Robby who lives in town. He told me that the Wisconsin and Southern was running in the daylight today, which they haven't done in years. I didn't believe him at first, because he's not really the most serious person on the planet, but I had some time to kill before Thanksgiving Dinner at my grandparent's house, so I headed down to the tracks.
I was driving down along a random gravel road and, lo and behold, I looked down the line and saw the red and white stripes coming my way. To my surprise, it was the 25th anniversary unit on point. I pulled off to the side and stuck my head out the sunroof to get this shot before he had turned his lights on for the crossing.

I knew I wasn't going to be able to catch him at the next crossing, so I headed down to the main highway to shoot him over the unusually green crops. It was also neat to see the Grow Wisconsin unit on there too, he's only missing 4030.

I decided to get ahead of him and drive down to one of the rivers that passes under the line to snap a shot of him there. I had to get a little wet but I think it was worth it.

After drying off, I chased him down to the long white road bridge that crosses over the creek to get a different vantage point.

I guess I have a thing for bridges. The ones out here are pretty photogenic and I couldn't pass up a shot like this in the daytime. I didn't know if this was going to happen again, so I had to take it.

Before I knew it, I was already in town and on the verge of running late, so I snapped one more shot of him rolling over a crossing and slowing for the connector onto the main.

Hopefully they start running this train in the day more often so I can share some more pics with everyone
