Hi everyone; I'm a little confused by the 'flavours' of Trainz that came out after the single-version releases of '04 and '06. I understand that TS2009 once came out in an Engineers Edition (presumably that means Driver only with little or no Surveyor) and a WBE came out later. TS2010 of course, only has an Engineers Edition. Does that mean that you can't yet build routes with 2010? and in any case, when is the WBE likely to be released if at all?

TS2009 and TS2010 are full blown versions and have driver and route building capabilities. If you have not either of these then only purchase 2010 as it has all of 2009 and many more added features and improvements to the code.

I can find very little difference between 2009 WBE and 2010 EE. They look a little different but do basically the same thing and have the same driver and surveyor capabilities. Opinions are like a--holes and we all have one. That is mine and if I am wrong: SORRY..

The WBE actually came out first, and the EE never made it as part of the '09 legacy. This became the TS2010 we have today, which has Surveyor plus all of the driving commands just like the other full-range products '04 and '06.

TS2010 has two major new features compared with TS2009: layers and SpeedTrees. There are plenty of descriptions and comments about both on this forum.
