Wondering if this was possible.

might be back?
Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to set up a multiple industry track to slowly load a car, rather than all at once.

Let me explain what I want to do. I have a gravel pit that loads the cars via front end loader. I want to run sessions where the local, which is owned by the gravel company, will pull a string of hoppers to the gravel pit, position them over the industry track, and uncouple from them. It will then return to the nearby yard and perform switching duties while the cars become loaded with aggragate. After its switching duties are complete, the local will then return to the gravel pit and pick up the now loaded hoppers.

Is it possible to do this? If yes, what do I have to set the multi industry to get this to work.

Thanks in advance.

You can get exactly that using ProtoLars industries (there IS a 'Gravel' industry). Check out the TPR forum....

As Andy said, a ProtoLARS industry track can be configured to do what you want.

The locomotive can spot one freight car over the track, uncouple and move away.

After a preset time interval one of the cars will load. Then the next will load after a preset interval, then the next, ... .

My "ProtoLARS Aggregates" might include the product you want to use.

If you need help in configuring ProtoLARS I have prepared a tutorial. To download the tutorial click on this link:

Actually the protolars aggragates was what I was planning on using. I will have to try experimenting with the settings to get the cars to load slowly enough to be realistic, but not too slow that it never gets done. Thanks again.
