We only get bits of information here in the USA about the severity of the situation, so many of us do not know the true impact of floods.

Heard on the news that just the end of the water is not the end of the problems, electric checks and some houses that will have to be rebuilt from the inside out .....

Was talking to a amature radio operator up there he said he normally needs a jack hammer to dig in his yard at the moment he is using 1 arm and shovel putting in re-bar to join the house to the garage to tie them together.

Flooding is one of the worse disasters I can imagine, with so many cherished personal items ruined and lost. I also send my prayers and thoughts to those so affected down under.

I thought they were based in Australia?
I suppose it isn't to hard to believe that heir servers are in he USA.

I am hoping the flood waters recede in Queensland, allowing thousands to move back to what was once home. I hope lots of money/donations go towards rescue and repair efforts.

N3V/Auran is located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and so far that area has not flooded.. But more heavy rain is forecast there for the next couple of days.. They should be OK, plus they are not on the ground floor of their building...

However other parts of Queensland north of Brisbane are really in trouble.
An area bigger than France is under water with my old home town of Rockhampton one of the badly affected towns. One of the houses I lived in there is well under water as I saw on TV tonight.

Our thoughts are with those affected.
