Those are some very nice screenshots. This is a beautiful route.
This is a plain out beautiful route. Your work has payed off well, very good work!
Made it a little further down the line. I need to quit playing all other games until I finish this thing.
Work goes slow because there is a ton of texture blending going on.
But as long as the results are good I guess it's worth it.
I know how that feels William. It's been ages since I turned on my Xbox or fired up Flight Simulator. Anyway I must say your trackside textures and grass are extremely well done (best example). Take all the time you need (don't rush!) because you're doing it right. :Y:
I'm not sure if you've stumbled across this issue yet, but fixed track turnouts may cause issues further down the line (pun intended) especially when your route starts getting heavy. I learned the hard way the mess they can cause after undo operations; bizarre spline behaviour, random derailments and disconnected/unconnectable spline points. Ended up deleting them all and had to re-lay alot of track. But if it works for you then that's great.
Cheerio,
Nicholas
Love the mountain scene. Awesome work!
Thanks,
I'm putting some crazy work into this route. The goal is to create the ultimate smallish size route (18 miles long) with many interactive industries for multiplayer fun. It's got the basics like coal and fossil fuels and more fun stuff like hot dogs, pizzas, cell phones, maybe even haggis and many other things.
Imagine 5 towns with long passenger platforms, each town has an MIN, plus many other industries. There are plenty of commodities to deliver.
It's a multiplayer dream route. The goal is to deliver the feel of a massive model railroad. And so there is some compression, and you can see the edges.
But with much to do I don't think keeping things close to the track will be a problem.
Every route is a compromise, and this is no different.
