Windows Vista :(

Hi all.

Iv ahd to purchase a new computer, and im now running Vista. I have installed the game and it runs fine. But...I cannot copy any of my old save game data and anything I save within the game gets erased when I close TRS2006 down.


Any help on this would be brilliant??

Hey I'm having the same problem also with Vista & 06'. Works great until you shut down 06' and come back to it. All your surveyor work is NOT SAVED. Yikes,what's going on? Hope someone helps us. Alco_P-A

In order for TRS2006, or for Trainz in general to work with Vista, you need to install and run the program using Administrator rights. When done this way, the program runs without this problem. Search for Vista problems in the forums for more details.

Hey JC , thanks you may have solved two of my problems. one is the same as the other gentlemen described and the other is drivers not showing up. well lets give this a try.

Thanks for the tip. i just started my trs 06 as administrator and my drivers came back. Youihonk,give this a try-it worked for me.

After you have installed TRS2006 as a administrator on Microsoft Windows Vista:

Right Click the following files in the TRS2006 Directory below and select compatibility tab and tick the small square box ----> Run this program as an Administrator.

ContentManager
CCP
Launcher
Trainz
TrainzDiag
openGLextensions
gsc
gse
TrainzUtil
