i myself have never had any crashes using the tweaks, i am just trying to help everyone that has some knowledge of windows, and the website covers all versions of windows, i have been able to get up to 15fps more in trainz using there tweak guide , but you have to be carefull not to shut down services that you have no idea what they are. it will in no way damage your hardware. but messing with some services could cause your pc to crash or not boot.

since you are using a ssd drive i would google tweaks for your ssd drive for windows 7, there are alot of things that can help improve the lifespan of that ssd drive.

I used to have an SSD drive. I replaced it with a double sided double density drive long ago.

I use a program Advanced System Care by Iobit that does all sorts of maintenance and tuning to get the best out of my PC. The basic version is free but for 12quid you can upgrade to the full version. You don't need to be fluent in PC either as I am able to use almost all features without fear...

there was another programe that i cant remember what it was called (game booster or something) that switched all programes that wasnt need ,off,so your game ran faster.

I tried Advanced System Care, it only does part of the job, then tells you to buy the program if you want to do the rest.
I will stick with CC Cleaner.

Careful with IObit, they got caught using Malwarebytes definition files a couple of years ago and got blacklisted by many of the malware forums.
Don't think they have pinched anything since but just be aware.

Shutting down services to free up memory is only useful on machines with not much memory. We did some experiments on machines with around 4 gigs of memory and found that this sort of software caused a decrease in frame rates. Memory is cheap these days.
