Windows 7 64 bit and Trainz 2010 EE Problem

Trainz 2010 Windows 7

Hello,

i have heard from many people that Trainz 2009 doesn't work on Windows 7, along with many other games.I switched to Trainz 2010 because i was told by 3 people it does work. So i just want to confirm it. ''Does Trainz 2010 work on Windows 7?'' I dont have the game yet but i have a strange feeling about this, i dont want $50 to be spent on a non-working game.

So what part of message #17 above did you not understand?

Hey, Well i installed sp3 and that has solved the performance issue. but i have another problem. In Surveyor when switching between menus it freezes for about 10 - 20 mins. And when loading either surveyor or driver it takes from 10 to 30 mins to load. Can anybody help me with this. I have looked around the forum but with no success,

Matt

I am less than a complete newbie as I am still awaiting delivery of 2010 EE which I ordered a few days ago. However, my anticipation is turning from excitement to dread after having read this thread. Am I to believe that I cannot run Trainz 2010 on my Windows 7 computer?</p>

I have Windows 7 Pro with a ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series, she runs fine at the moment, make sure your game is patched up to sp3, If you think it has to do something with your system, Use CC cleaner to do a sweep. Remember when you Installed TRS 2010 It did a diagnostic too check if everything meets the requirements, what did yours say? Do you remember?

I also have a Windows 7, i7, 64bit, and have had no issues at all with running TS2010.

Under Options on Loading Screen, and then Display Settings, you may need to change 'Open GL' to 'Direct X'. That was one issue I did have at the beginning, however.

The best option i have found is dirext x, open gl is completly crap, as i said it is already patched to sp3, i always use ccleaner after along time on the net so that hasn't done the trick to ts2010. I have a feeling it might be something to do with the assests because of the loading it takes in surveyer when looking through them, eg changing menus and scrolling through. And all of my drivers are up to date. I have the original trainz and that runs so well on my machine with all the display settings to max

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have only 2 problems:

1. The free DLS is down (Like that's new)
2. Avery-Drexel lags (Too many speedtreez)

Hi John. Try to fix that error file with the programm JFileRecovery. I didnt use that, but read that it can repair files with reading errors, especially with CRC errors. You can find here. (Its the 1st in search results)
