will there be another trainz android version

Just curious to know

Seeing as how the Android version of Trainz sim has less than 100k downloads and astonishingly bad reviews compared to the iPad version, there probably won't be a Trainz Android 2, aside from the limited "Driver" game.

The Android version is not that great. I found it to be pretty much Trainz 1.0 and very clumsy to use. From what we were told somewhere, it was developed by a third-party for N3V and is essentially that a port over of Trainz 1.0 or close to that version.

Slightly longer answer: Not this year.

Posted my views on the current Android version in the specific forum area, but yes it is pretty dire even by tablet game standards. Maybe not as bad as some of the train stuff on there but when you look at Hmmsim or ATS Train Driver (latter iPad only), any new tablet version of Trainz will need to raise its game considerably.

Agreed the andy version is disappointing. But given the power of today's tabs, it would definitely be worthwhile creating a more uptodate version.

So, N3V are to forget Android users for at least the rest of this year even though more than eight out of every ten mobile devices sold worldwide run on that platform. We where informed some months ago by the management of N3V that writing apps for the foregoing platform was "very difficult". However, since that statement was made the number of apps on the Google Play Store has risen to almost two and a half million. The foregoing apps have been brought forward by both large developer's and individuals coding in their spare time, and all strive for a position on the fastest growing platform in the world.

I like many enjoy the casual "lightweight" gaming that mobile offers to its users, and in that I own two flagship devises. My main device of the two is a Google Pixel XL phone running on a high end Qualcomm 821 processer. However, as many may well have read, the latest Qualcomm 835 processer being incorporated into the most recent mobile devices is also to be incorporated into a new range of Windows 10 laptops and desktops in preference to Intel architecture.

The above will mean that for the first time a cross platform technology will exist between windows and Android which will be very much to the advantage of app developers wishing to write for both platforms. I believe that a fresh version of Trainz on Android would bring the simulator to a huge new user base, some of who would undoubtedly go on to invest in the PC systems nessicary to run the full version of Tane, Next or whatever.

Nobody least of all myself is asking for Tane on mobile at this point in time or indeed claiming that the foregoing it is possible. However, there are some great simulation apps introduced on Android in recent months demonstrating just what is possible on the platform when the effort, will and skill are brought forward.

For when a new game for android?

Why didn't they get the game for android? They forgot that this operating system existed or what? In addition the first game is no longer available in the Play store or if it is for older phones with less capacity than there are today, I only ask for an update for the first game or to launch this game already for the Google system.
