will not launch

I downloaded TRS2004 a fue days ago. When I try to launch it and all I get is a black screen with a curser. I got a hold of support and the said me system is good. And to change the graph ic mode. And if that don't work ,get ahold of the fourm , so here I am. Anybody got any ideas? Thank You Al Cassell :'(

Hello,

Since you are still trying to install for the first time and have not managed to register your serial number, you most likely will not be able to post in the 2004 forum.

It has been an extremely long time since I looked at 2004 but must admit in all the times that I did install it, I never had problems installing.

Are you installing this on Windows XP or Vista? Can you list your machine specs for us? Click Start, then Run, and type DXDIAG and press enter. This will run diagnostics. Perform all the tests and let us know how this goes.

I'll check back in bit if I stll have energy tonight!

Did you change your graphic mode? Sometimes there are missing bits of OpenGL from your PC, and it will run under DirectX.

Add -intro=disable to the trainzoptions file in auran/2004/bin.
