Will it work?

Hi I am thinking about getting Trainz 2010 or 2012 but before I do that I want to know if it will at least run.

here are the specs for the computer

Read Below for the specs now

EDIT : Now I am probably not going to be able to put It on that computer listed above if I buy it (It is my dads computer) but we have another computer that may run it (the hard drive has about 40 GB so maybe after upgrading the hard drive since trainz will use a big chunk of that) here are the specs for the other computer

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.60 GHz
3 GB RAM
NVIDEA GeForce GT 610

Welcome to the forums.

It should work on that, but at low framerates.

Make sure your hard drive is big enough to hold the game and it's content.

Thanks I was just hoping if it would work even at a low framerate (I have played games at really low framerate and gotten fairly used to it being a little slow) and the hard drive still has over 100 gigabytes of free space so it should be fine.

Hi,

I would have never thought but what a big difference from Trainz 2006 to TS 2009. I ended up exporting some cool content from German Trainz 2007, then import to 2009 and play on an LG 3D monitor - pure magic. Who needs model railway? Then I tested TS 2010 and TS12 - simply refined and awesome. Made me finally to assemble my new PCs which were in a heap - dormant in my cupboard.

On older machines I found exporting TRS 2006 content then importing it to TC3 works a treat, awesome visuals and also quite smooth frame rates.
