WideScreen format

Hello all,
I have had trainz for about 6 months and thouroughly enjoy the game. recently I purchased a widescreen 22" monitor and I have been able to configure all my video games, save Trainz. There are only three settings on the display settings and even the largest only fills a small portion of the screen. Also when it is like that it does not go inot full screen format. It has the blue windows outbox on it.


Any assistance would be appreciated. I am fairly computer savvy, but I cannot seem to figure this out or find in in your forum.

This was the closest I was able to find, but I am not sure how these fellas are able to make so many adjustments to their game when I can only choose between three options. Thank you again

You can specify custom resolutions by adding the following lines to your trainzoptions.txt file:

-width=
-height=

Fill in the resolution that you need. Sometimes you have to experiment between OpenGL and DirectX to see what works best for you.

my son started this thread.
i have gone to trainzoptions and added width&height[1680 x 1050 x 60 hz.it won't open due to rendering problems in both direct and open.
i don not know if he answered your question as to how muck of the screen trainz occupies but it is about 1/3 of the screen
