wide-screen monitor

With the patch the options setting in TC3 has a whole load of new resolutions. I'd be very surprised if yours wasn't listed in there.

That way there's no need to mess about with the options file.

Yeah. Mine was listed in there.

The wierd thing though is that 1152 x 720 was listed there too.

Does Hz matter with trainz?

My monitor optimum is at 60Hz.
If your using an LCD 60Hz is plenty as the LCD monitors dont suffer from the 60Hz flicker like older CRT monitors do. Running at 60Hz also reduces the work that your graphics card has to do thus will run smoother.

I do have a question, does Trainz '06 support dual monitors? I have two 17" LCD monitors hooked up to my graphics card.

My ATI All In Wonder X800xl has two outputs and allows for the desktop to be spread over the two of them.

Nvidia drivers also allow you span the display over 2 monitors, vertically or horizontally, connecting the second monitor via the DV connection, although I've never tried it with Trainz.

All my monitors are taken up with other computers. lol :D

Smiley.
