A quote from the BritishLocoWorks3D website: "If there is a problem with anything I have sent you, do feel free to contact me and I will try to help to resolve the issue." His email address is shown using the "My Team" menu. So ask him where all the dependencies are and why he hasn't already listed those sources on his website?

For that matter, ask him why he is not also putting his content on the DLS where it would benefit from automatic error-checking at the time of uploading.

i got no reply

He says on his website that email replies might take a day or two. Keep an eye on your junk mail folder, it may go there instead of your in-box. Not that I know anything about that creator. I am just reading what’s on his site.

The site mentioned in the previous posts is the second site in Eastern Europe to host content from around the world, DLS-style, but without asking for permission.
Out of curiosity, I looked at how much of my content there is, and they have 113 pages with 50 objects per page. I counted 5,619 objects. You don't need to register on this site; it's free to download.
Any author who has content on DLS will be able to verify that they have hosted content without permission. However, it must be translated, since the characters are Cyrillic.
It's clear that when you publish something on the internet, you lose control over it, and anyone can do whatever they want.

The issue is lack of respect for copyrights which seems to be a thing in that part of the world.

Sometimes when kuid hunting the only match that comes up is one or both of the foreign sites that have illegal content. Which means that some of the content came from third party sites that are now closed.

Indeed ,if only all content creators uploaded their work to the DLS, it would save vast amounts of angst. So many locos have to have substitute assists added to the config for them to work, although in many cases this is due to changes in the game that breaks an asset. The problem is that many rolling stock items can only be modified by the user, they cannot be then uploaded to the DLS for others to use. Then there are all the assets that cannot be modified due to lack of permission by the creator , or which are hobbled by a simple omission , eg :there are many thousands of assets that ideally should be able to be tilted ,such as the nv3 seasonal log assets , I can make a new version so I can use them in freeware routes but it's crazy to create a duplicate item and upload it to the DLS just to give it the ability to tilt. That's a whole set of assets made by nv3 whose usability is restricted due to a minor oversight , the DLS situation is quite ludicrous in many ways it's like topsy "it just growed "and now, sorting it out would be a gargantuan task. .

Hi all,

Connor here from British Locomotive Works, just found this thread and firstly I'd like to apologise if I didn't see any emails pertaining to missing kuids. I get a lot of emails every day, usually guff from LinkedIn, and I suspect it got buried among such other emails. I should also say that a few months ago my T:ANE completely crashed on me and I lost all of my files, so any kuids that you don't have from either mine or Ricardo's models, it is highly likely that I don't have them either. I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, but that's the harsh truth of it all.

As for the site, I think this is a good place for me to say that at some point in the near future I will be closing the site and moving over to a new one which I have yet to make. The new site will be much more professional than the current one, as well as being far better organised - I will again be using Wix to make this new site.

I am currently in the process of completing commissions from other people, so I cannot say for certain when the new site will be up and running, but what I can say is the new site will be more efficient in the layout of the content available for download and/or purchase.

On a final note, on the topic of my assets, or Ricardo's assets for that matter, as a lot of the engines on the current site are made by him, please do not under any circumstance upload any of our kuids onto any 3rd party database - I noticed a few days ago that kuids for my 2022 model of the L&YR Hughes Class 8 'Dreadnought' locomotive were uploaded to a Russian site, so this model will be among those older ones not appearing on the new site. This is the first and final time I speak on this matter.

I hope you all have a pleasant day.

Regards,
Connor.
