Thanks for the information Drucifer, looks like June is going to be an expensive month for us, what with this and TC3, seems as though I'm going to have to get a paper-round for some extra money with all this expenditure......:hehe:

Hi all sorry for the maybe obvious question.. I can't seem to get a straight answer..

I used to play trainz many years ago and would like to start again with it. I'm really confused with all the versions that are on sale.. 2006, 2007, ultimate.. ahh.

I live in the UK could you please tell me what is the best version to get?

Many thanks

The last Trainz I purchased was TRS2006. Quite ignorant of Trainz Classics content. Wishing to stay with TRS06 (If it works don't fix it!), can I import Trainz Classics content into TRS06...........not entire routes, but engines, rolling stock and buildings?

tc

I have been using TC lately and find it better to use than 2006.
Recently I tried to upload a TC CPD using Planet Auran. It came up on screen as being in CPD2 format. The Upload Station did not like this and wanted only CPD format. Does anyone know where you can upload CPD2 formats? :o

Use CMP and just drag the item to the upload area on the left.

Upload TC

Thanks John. I just did that and got the message.
Error: Unable to add 'Oberon TC' as it is currently Faulty""
This I think is because of the increased pernickittiness of TC over items that in 2006 looked OK. Do I have to go through the list of "Faulty""items and replace them with parallel non-faulty ones, or is there another way?
This is the reason that I tried Planet Auran as it is not bothered by this.

Thanks for the help:)

Faulty Dependencies

John

I opened up all the config.files of faulty dependencies after checking each one to ascertain the so-called érrors'. In each case I found that TC was objecting to 'thank you' or '\color'', or some such trivia in the config.sys. What a waste of time. However I changed what was required although this required me to fiddle with another author's work (much against my instincts!) This satisfied CMP and I was able to upload at last. You would think that Auran would have bigger things than this to fret over.

Computers are very fast morons they need to be spoon fed. What may seem trivial to you makes it much easier for Trainz to understand the config.txt file and that what's makes TC a little faster.

Thank you for cleaning up the errors.
