Where's a newbie go?

Looking to put together a couple of scenarios I've managed to figure on, and played (rough versions) in quickplay. So, that leads to...

1) Where is there a good set of instructions to explain what I'm doing (got a train to move under AI tonight, but couldn't run the other, and would like to know why)

2) Where is there a good instruction on how to bundle up a scenario for others to play as free content. (I'm not sure how this is done, the consists, etc, etc, all the way to the upload). Not asking how, just where.

3) Why don't I see more scenarios available? Am I the only one trying to take the massively detailed routes and do more with them?

Just seems like a waste of such beautiful layouts.

Play around and experiment a bit before you upload your first route. ;)
It takes some time to learn everything, or just take a stroll through the forums and read some tutorials. :D

Actually your in the right place. Here. There are many really helpful folk on here who can explain good solutions to you. Some have created a wealth of tutorials as well. You may need to describe your problem a little more though so that we have a better picture of what it is that you are having problems with. Apart from here, there are a lot of mini videos on you tube.
Many of our more experienced folk have created some really big scenarios. If you go onto contents manager (access through start menu in game -known to us as CM) or to the Download Center on the internet - through this site (known as the DLS), you will find all sorts of goodies to use in your route creation and of course info on how to upload it for others to use can be found on this site too.

hope this helps a little - and welcome aboard :)

One thing that might be of help is to update your terminology. "Scenarios" is an obsolete term; they have been called "sessions" since 2006.

Oh dear. That sounds like what the madam said in this house I visited... ;)

But thanks, all. I'll start playing with it.

BTW, if I DO mess up an original "session", is there a way to get it back? It's just that some of the interfaces are a little confusing.

You can always copy it or 'clone' it so that the original is not used. You can do that in CM. Select the route you want to clone - right click on it and select clone. Then if you use the cloned version the original will be untouched.
